Support our Plastic Waste management and Beach Cleaning Project

This project is aimed at sensitizing communities in Cameroon on the impact of poor plastic waste disposal and poor waste disposal in general on marine/terrestrial life.

It will empower communities on sustainable waste management techniques to ensure a clean and healthy environment as well as promote local waste recycling techniques for economic empowerment.

You will also have the unique opportunity to help clean up and protect the ocean from plastic waste. To achieve this, we have devised the following strategies:

• Conduct a community-wide plastic waste audit to assess the current plastic consumption and waste generation.
• Introduce and encourage the adoption of sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics.
• Collaborate with local waste management services to enhance plastic recycling facilities and infrastructure.
• Conduct regular clean-up drives to remove existing plastic waste from the environment.
• Develop and distribute educational materials highlighting the consequences of plastic pollution on the environment and human health.
• Organize awareness campaigns using various media channels, community events, and social media platforms.
• Engage local schools in educational programs to instill environmental consciousness among students.
• Promote sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics.
